Frederick C. Olney (July 15, 1862 – May 24, 1918) was an American lawyer and entrepreneur. An African-American resident of Wakefield, Rhode Island, with Native American ancestry, he was one of the first African-American lawyers admitted to the bar in the state, and one of the founders of the Gladstone Springs Water Company. Note: Wikipedia refers to him as "Frederick Clayton Olney" and Findagrave refers to him as "Frederick Cross Olney", but every primary document refers to him as only "Frederick C. Olney", and does not disclose his middle name.
